Didn’t publish anything in here for a while, but doesn’t mean I am idle – at least not in photography 🙂 Using all this time spent at home I am shooting some more film. A roll of Portra and an expired Ektachrome 160T are waiting to be developed in a lab. But I finally developed a roll by myself. Well, almost by myself 😉 For a start I took a roll of Fomapan 400 – it’s cheap and if something goes wrong > out to the bin. So I didn’t really focus on finding amazing frames for this roll. But it turned out to be a beginner’s first success. Below you can find a few examples and the rest of good in my opinion frames you can find in my Behance profile: https://www.behance.net/gallery/96444293/Fomapan-400
Special thanks to a very talented photographer, Joana Rainer, who helped me with all this!
While I am writing this, there’s a roll of Ilford HP+ hanging in the bathroom drying and waiting to be scanned 🙂
Back in 2019 I decided to take part in a collective exhibition organized through a Facebook group – Lisbon Analogue Photography. The initial plan was to show our photos in 2 different spots – Livraria Ferin and Ler Devagar – both are libraries located in Lisbon, Portugal. The final decision was that exhibition consists of 7 photographers and each will display 6 photos taken with a film camera. As the title says it was photos of Lisbon presented through the unique vision and framing of each one of us.
Unfortunately, the exhibition at Ler Devagar had to be closed early due to the current situation and instead being on display for nearly 3 weeks, the place was closed after around a week or so.
Nevertheless, it was a great experience for me and I believe the other photographers share the same feeling. Even more special for me, because it was my first exhibition ever. At this point I would like to thank each one involved in organizing the whole thing and allowing us to display our frames at their spaces.
No more talking – below is a collage of my photos I printed for this exhibition.
I decided not to add any titles and just leave it for the viewer for interpretation.
Just wanted to quickly let you know that opening of our collective exhibition happened yesterday and this time we are exhibiting our analogue photos at Ler Devagar in LX Factory. You can see it all for free until 22nd March.
It’s been a while since I posted something here – quiet period for me due to cold weather and some ongoing changes. But my photos are working for me in backstage! Here you can download a PDF file of the Star Wax Magazine France – January release contains some of my pictures I took of my friends in events in Lisbon. Printed version coming soon. Enjoy!
With a great pleasure I would like to announce that I am part of an exhibition organized by Lisbon Analogue Photography collective. The vernissage will take place on 14th November at 6pm and you can see all the works for the whole month, until 14th December 2019.
I had about 2 hours to use on photographing and I decided I will go to Marques Pombal in Lisbon and walk around. The goal was to capture some buildings with pixação, but it turned out they have been cleaned. So I kept on going – from Marques Pombal along Avenida Liberdade to Restauradores and got some nice shots of other buildings in the area. This time all of them are in 1×1 format and in black and white. Enjoy 🙂
Sintra is beautiful. But way too packed with tourists and it was very difficult to find an empty street. I left the crazy old town center and as I often do, I kept walking without knowing where I’m heading. I captured only a handful of photos, guess I might need to go back in winter, when it’s not so busy over there.
