Quick photoshoot near by home

Last week I spent less than 1 hour at this location with my girlfriend and we took some photos of each other. I used my DSLR and she used her Nikon F3 with Kodak Colorplus. You can see my work below and hers will most likely land on her Instagram and website soon.

PS. We do not encourage shooting on train tracks at any time, we had permission and confirmation there’s no trains coming to the sidings any time soon, so we were safe and far from main railway.

Inês on 35mm film

Finally got the film developed and scanned. It was with me since January…

Inês (@kalliekalynn) is a local girl I met last year during the 24 Hour Project and we kept in touch. It also turned out she is very talented, as she creates beautiful illustrations – you can check them out here: @kalliekalynnstuff

I was supposed to take my Canon A1 to this photoshoot, but just before loading the film I noticed it doesn’t work – broken shutter release. So I decided to take something more challenging with me – Agfa Silette. That camera is probably from the mid 1950’s, doesn’t have a built-in light meter, no way to check your focus is right, but hey! We were going to have fun with it anyway. Film I used was black and white Kodak Professional T-MAX 400.

No more talking, check out the scans below.

Moody afternoon with Liv

It was Sunday afternoon when I met Liv at LX Factory in Lisbon. She is very young and beautiful girl from Germany, who is currently living in Portugal. Even though it was raining cats and dogs we were both very excited to take some photos in the raw and obscure interiors of the main building, where all kind of artistic offices can be found – from fashion designers, illustrators, painters to film studios.

Inside the building is not a typical location for sweet and colorful holiday pictures, so it was perfect for this dull rainy day. Dimmed lights, narrow corridors, old machinery and no people disturbing the frame.

The ISO had to be set to some high values in certain spots, but the final result is very satisfying – non-disrupting light, contrasting background and magic in the eyes of Liv.

Enjoy!
